Easy grinding, sanding and roughing: the new Compact Cutter from Metabo

Whether an electrician, tiler or installer - every professional has to saw, sand or grind something from time to time. So it's handy to have a particularly compact machine that can do everything - like the new Compact Cutters from Metabo. The PowerMaxx CC 12 BL complements Metabo's 12 Volt system and the CC 18 LTX BL complements the 18 Volt system. "The Compact Cutter is pretty much the Swiss pocket knife among tools: multifunctional, small and compact, always at hand. The perfect companion on the construction site and in the workshop," says product manager Stephen Ellis. "Regardless of whether it runs on 12 or 18 volts - both machines can be used in many ways and currently have the very highest working speed on the market." In addition, the PowerMaxx CC 12 BL with a 12 Volt Li-Power battery pack weighs only about 800 grams.

Mel every hand in every corner

Thanks to its low weight and compact design, users can use the Compact Cutter even in hard-to-reach places, such as in electrical cabinets or pipes in heating rooms. Even overhead work is no problem. With its rotating protective cover, the Compact Cutter is suitable for both right- and left-handers; the protective cover can also be mounted quickly and without the help of tools. The ergonomic, rubber grip fits comfortably in the hand. "The Compact Cutter has two lockable switches: one for the spindle i.e. the disc change and one to let the machine run for a long time without having to continuously press the button. Thus, the user has everything under control," Ellis says.

Speed and endurance

Metabo's new Compact Cutters are both convenient and compact - but in terms of performance, they leave nothing to be desired. "With their brushless motors, the Compact Cutters currently deliver the best performance on the market in their respective class," says Ellis. "Moreover, at 19 mm, both Cutters achieve the greatest cutting depth - so they can also cut reliably and completely through thicker pipes," says Ellis.

Quick disk change

With Metabo's large range of accessories consisting of deflashing, cutting-off and diamond cut-off wheels and flap sanding discs, you can use the Compact Cutter to work on a wide variety of materials, such as metal, stainless steel, wood, stone, tiles or plastic. With the "Combinator Inox" disc one can both deburr and cut. The discs can be changed easily, with the appropriate Allen wrench always within easy reach on the machine. The PowerMaxx CC 12 BL is available with 2x 2.0 Ah Li-Ion battery packs or alternatively with 2x 4.0 Ah LiHD battery packs. Regardless of whether it is a 12 Volt or 18 Volt machine, delivery is always with five additional discs. While the PowerMaxx CC 12 BL complements the 12 Volt class with another compact machine, in the 18 Volt class the CC 18 LTX BL can be combined with more than 90 Metabo cordless machines, and within the umbrella Cordless Alliance System (CAS) even with more than 140 machines from different brands.
