For specialist in reinforcement technology, thermal insulation and impact sound insulation Schöck Nederland bv, no project is too complex. The Apeldoorn-based manufacturer, consultant and supplier proves this, for example, in De Zalmhaven in Rotterdam, the Trudo Tower in Eindhoven and the Sluishuis in Amsterdam. "We supplied the Schöck Isokorf® anchoring system for the constructive anchoring of the more than 300 cantilever balconies of Sluishuis," says Peter Nijweide of Schöck Nederland bv. "The Schöck Isokorf® T type K elements are equipped with 80 mm Neopor® insulation and an HTE-Compact® pressure element made of ultra-high-strength concrete, with even lower thermal conductivity and higher load-bearing capacity."
Schöck Isokorf® T type K is a structural anchoring system and has the added advantage of interrupting cold bridges on balconies and galleries. "The KOMO-certified elements are available as standard in heights of 160-250 mm and in divisible modules of 250, 500 and 1,000 mm, but of course we are also strong in customization," said Nijweide. "The Schöck elements were cast into the balcony elements and concrete floors by HCI Prefab."
"With various calculations and based on the loads, we substantiated the resistance to fatigue, perceptible vibration, thermal expansion and shrinkage," Nijweide said. "We also checked the balconies for wind loads, based on which we developed a technical proposal and corresponding drawings." In order to fit the Schöck Isokorf® anchoring systems perfectly into the design, CAD/BIM files are available on Schöck Nederland bv's website. "This was also used in this project."
Schöck Isokorf® T type K has been certified by the Passivhaus Institut in Darmstadt (DE) as an "energy saving component" for balcony connections. "By using stainless steel and industrial steel with a specific weld, we minimize heat loss and very high insulation standards (energy-neutral) can be achieved," concludes Nijweide.
