'Extensive know-how in precast concrete'

"We can offer a wide range of precast concrete products, including concrete panels with or without insulation core, fire walls, footings, beams, columns, stairs, landings, galleries, balconies and dock elements. Since our establishment in 2007, we have been the official sales office for Preton BVBA and have been supplying both the Netherlands and Germany ever since," says Michael Noordhuis, owner of Noordhuis Construction and Concrete Systems. "After an order is awarded, we take care of the engineering, transport and logistics of the products, among other things, many of which find their way into industrial, agricultural, utility and residential construction. We have very short lines of communication with the factory, allowing us to move quickly."

Noordhuis Construction and Concrete Systems works mostly on behalf of contractor parties. "Based on their quotation requests, specifications, drawings and any IFC models, we take stock of which concrete products lend themselves to prefabrication," said Noordhuis. "We then prepare a quotation. After approval, our engineers provide the drawings of all precast parts. Here we work in 3D/BIM if necessary. From this building information model, the 2D production drawings for the factory are also ultimately generated."

Fast and economical way of building

"We fine-tune the contractor's rough model and add detailing, dimensions and fasteners, creating ready-to-use production drawings. Moreover, we actively seek optimizations in, for example, (joint) layouts, detailing, thicknesses, etc., in order to make a fast and economical way of building possible and to limit the number of transport movements. When we think that something can be done cheaper and/or smarter, with the same end quality, we absolutely indicate this. This is greatly appreciated by our clients."

Extensive reference list

"Our thoughtfulness, flexibility and delivery reliability have led to a nice and very extensive reference list in recent years," Noordhuis emphasizes. "From factory halls to stables, municipal yards, office buildings and showrooms. Of particular note was the realization of a rescue station for the Noordwijk Rescue Brigade, for which we engineered and delivered various concrete walls with a special structure. In the past, of course, we have had several nice projects we were allowed to deliver to, such as the Katwijk Rescue Brigade and Plopsa Indoor in Coevorden (Studio 100)."
