Perfectly finished floors

On behalf of main contractor Bouwbedrijf van de Ven, the family business provided all cement screeds and various floor coverings in the brand-new building.

Brugmans Group and Vanderlande are no strangers to each other. "Five years ago we already made the cement screeds for Building 50," says director/owner Walther Brugmans. "An assignment that has been followed up nicely with the realization of Building 60. We were selected in competition by Bouwbedrijf van de Ven to realize 6,000 m2 of cement screed as well as its finishing." That finish includes about 1,000 m2 of plastic cast floor in the washrooms, about 8,000 m2 of carpet tiles in the offices and about 4,000 m2 of PVC flooring in the common areas. "After we installed the cement screeds between October 2020 and January this year, we then started the finishing touches. For that, we recently connected the dots."

The fact that Bouwbedrijf van de Ven is involving as many local subcontractors as possible in the project is greatly appreciated by Brugmans. "We love it when we get to do jobs for Veghel companies. Especially when they have the caliber of this project," said Brugmans, whose focus is already on the next job. "Vanderlande has asked us to put new flooring on a number of existing buildings on campus in the coming fall and spring of 2022. So for now we are not done here...."
