Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
The renovation of Van Mossel's Volvo branch in Amsterdam-Zuidoost is not just about concrete, ramps and showroom space. The indoor climate is also getting a complete makeover. Sanders Airconditioning, specialist in air conditioning and air treatment, is providing the climate technology so that the showroom, offices and workspaces will soon be comfortable, modern and future-proof.
“Since 2007 we have been operating from Eindhoven. First mainly in Brabant, now throughout the Netherlands,” says director Maikel Sanders. “We do air conditioning and air treatment, from private homes to the large business market and both for homes, offices, utility construction, maintenance and service.” In particular, the fixed service for large national chains such as Van Mossel is appreciated among customers, he says. Here, Sanders Air Conditioning distinguishes itself through quality and service, fast switching and ad hoc response. “We try to accomplish everything as quickly and well as possible,” he says.”
For the Van Mossel project, Sanders Airconditioning is installing a modern climate system from Daikin. Specifically, it involves cassette units, split and multi-split units linked to outdoor units with a total capacity of approximately 180 kW. This ensures climate comfort in the showroom, canteen, server room and offices, which are spread over two floors, according to Sanders. The renovation brought with it several challenges: “We have to assemble flexibly between cars while sales continue. And the power supply and planning of the contractor, plumber and electrician have to be exactly right.”
According to Sanders, the chosen system offers important advantages: “Customization, but with proven technology. We see few failures and the system controls heating and cooling per zone.” Such a system, in which the cooling or heating capacity is delivered tailored per room each time, is known for its energy efficiency, quiet operation and comfort for users. Moreover, the system is centrally controllable. Settings such as temperature, timers or zones can be monitored and controlled remotely. Maintenance and service is also agreed upon, ensuring the system is ready for the future.
