Sleek upgrade for Van Mossel Volvo in Amsterdam-Zuidoost

DAS Bouwsystemen is working on a complete transformation of Van Mossel's Volvo branch in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. The high-profile location along the A2 motorway will be given a fresh, light and high-quality appearance that matches the latest Volvo brand identity.

Since 2016, DAS Bouwsystemen has been building numerous showrooms within the Van Mossel Group. “We now know Van Mossel's wishes through and through. That makes cooperation fast and clear,” says company manager Mark van Berkel. The company grew along with the automotive sector in recent years and now has a specialized team for various car dealers, active in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.

Impressive dismantling along the A2

DAS takes care of the complete finishing for the location in Amsterdam-Zuidoost. Van Berkel: “Van Mossel wants one thing above all else: peace and quiet in the building. Tight walls, a bright white ceiling, a good climate and perfect acoustics. The car has to get the attention.” The workshop will also be completely upgraded. “That space is the poor relation at many dealerships. But Van Mossel wants employees to have as nice an environment as customers.”

Remodel while the business stays open

The construction site in Amsterdam-Zuidoost requires tight planning and careful communication. “There is not much space for cars and visitors, so coordination is crucial. We therefore discuss the schedule weekly.” The first weeks were intensive: all the glass fronts went out and the building had to be temporarily sealed. “For five weeks, people worked without daylight and with their coats on. Now that the glass is back, we can pick up speed.”

Planning on track

The showroom will be mostly finished by the end of 2025. The main entrance will follow after the turn of the year, then the cafeteria and workshop. “We are right on schedule. In week 10 of 2026 we will complete the complete project and until then we are working with full energy.”
