Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
On October 29 and 30, Evenementenhal Gorinchem is dedicated to the second edition of Afbouw Vakdagen, in cooperation with the Dutch Entrepreneurs Association for Finishers (NOA).
Professionals in the finishing industry are busy. When one project is completed, the next is already around the corner. That's why it's important to work efficiently. At Afbouw Vakdagen you will find the latest solutions that make the difference for finishing and painting professionals. So you can make meters again!
Afbouw Vakdagen is for the entire finishing sector and for anyone involved in the finishing of buildings. “With this fair, we offer a platform for a broad subsector in construction, which is increasingly working together as well as overlapping,” says Eline Kuijsters, Marketing Event Manager at fair organizer Easyfairs. “Our 110 or so exhibitors offer solutions for every project and are divided into clear event areas. This allows visitors to quickly find the innovations within their field, but at the same time they can take a look in each other's kitchens which can lead to special cross-pollinations. For example, between plasterers and painters.” Instead of a knowledge square with sessions, the latest innovations are shown during live demonstrations. “This makes both technology and application immediately visible and allows visitors to ask their important questions directly.”
The familiar event areas at Afbouw Vakdagen are Tiling, Plastering, Painting, Flooring & Terrazzo, Ceiling & Wall and Natural Stone. “Moreover, new this year is the Tools area,” Kuijsters said. “Because: no finishing without the right tools, machines and accessories. In addition, we have expanded the Painters segment, making the offering even more complete for any new construction or renovation project.”
In the Painters area the latest techniques and solutions will be demonstrated for the painter who wants to go the extra mile. “In addition to interesting exhibitors, here you will find the Painter Demo Square, where painters and suppliers can see and try out the latest techniques in the field of paint spraying. We also present the nominations for the public award of the National PaintersVAK Award, which can also be voted for.”
Afbouw Vakdagen also offers plenty of inspiration and innovation for plasterers. In the special area Plastering you will be introduced to the latest techniques, materials and solutions to take your craftsmanship to a higher level. Here you will not only find leading exhibitors, but also the Stuc Demo Square, where craftsmanship is taken to a higher level. For example, the Neerlandsch Stucgilde will show live what the restoration profession has to offer. Visitors can watch how ornaments are sculpted and elipses are shaped. They can also test their own skills here.
An important theme during Afbouw Vakdagen is sustainability. Consider, for example, the use of sustainable, environmentally friendly and low-CO2 materials and equipment, but also sustainable processes and the sustainable employability of employees. “For example, by making materials lighter and more efficient,” Kuijsters said.
For example, the latest solutions and innovations in this field are presented and demonstrated live at the House of the Future, in cooperation with NOA beneficiary members. From walls to ceilings and floors and from acoustic solutions to bio-based materials.
The Dutch Employers Association for Construction Companies will also share its knowledge about safe working practices in the NOA Café, where there will also be ample opportunity to ask questions and exchange experiences.
Especially for exhibitors of Afbouw Vakdagen, the Afbouw Innovation Prize will be awarded for the second time. Nominated exhibitors will have 1 m2 at their disposal on the Innovation Square, where they may exhibit their innovation. Visitors can then vote for the innovation that appeals to them most. In addition, all innovations will be judged by a professional jury. On October 30 at 8 p.m. the winner of the Afbouw Innovatieprijs will be announced.
