Janssen de Jong Group acquires strategic stake in New Horizon

For New Horizon, the partnership creates a platform to more quickly supply the total chain within the construction and real estate market with circular building materials. Janssen de Jong adds redevelopment with the cooperation, enabling the company to offer all services in the cycle of construction and real estate.

Effective immediately, the New Horizon team will be responsible for the new cluster 'Urban Mining' within Janssen de Jong Group. This cluster focuses entirely on supplying circular products to the Dutch construction and real estate industry. Michel Baars, founder and managing director of New Horizon: "We have the joint ambition to become the most influential collective in the construction sector. With the result that circular building becomes the norm. We are going to grow this new cluster significantly in the coming years. With the financial support of Janssen de Jong Group, we are able to grow faster organically, but we are also explicitly looking at collaborations with other parties. Together, New Horizon and Janssen de Jong Group have the clout to change the playing field on all fronts." 

Transition gaining momentum

Autonomous

New Horizon continues to operate autonomously in the market. The entire team will therefore remain unchanged. By 2025, Janssen de Jong Group and New Horizon Urban Mining together expect to realize €100 million in circular sales. The focus is emphatically on delivering concrete solutions and applications to the entire construction and real estate industry.
