Balcony glazing offers many advantages

Mview+ manufactured, delivered and installed balcony glazing for ten winter gardens at the sustainable new construction apartments of the Erasmusveld project in The Hague. "This allows residents to enjoy their balconies all year round."

Half of the roof terrace is covered and fitted with custom Mview balcony glazing. Jelle van Maarseveen, operations manager at Mview+: "This is floor-to-ceiling glazing, which can be fully opened and closed. The system turns inward and is therefore easy to clean. It is an open system and therefore not completely wind and watertight, but it does offer protection."

The advantages of balcony glazing are great. A barrier against wind and rain is created, allowing patio furniture, for example, to remain outside. In addition, the system acts as an extra shell around the façade. This reduces energy consumption and also provides a significant noise reduction, a specialty
From Mview+.

The systems are six meters wide, two and a half meters high and feature thermally pre-stressed monolithic glass. "It is prefabricated as much as possible so that assembly on the construction site takes less time. In this case it is a new construction project, but balcony glazing is also often used on existing balconies and verandas. This allows residents to use their balconies virtually year-round."
