The final phase of the construction of the SC Cambuur stadium is characterized by activities of various parties in the finishing. Plaveka Projectafbouw from Sint Annaparochie is involved in various parts, such as the assembly of the system walls and ceilings and the rendering of the walls. "We started the execution on site in May this year, obviously after a good preparation. Especially planning-wise, this work has an enormous peak," says company manager and project leader Marco Tilma.
SC Cambuur's stadium must be finished on time: football should be played as early as week 33. The interior finishing has yet to be completed. "The installers started at the same time as us in the spring, so they are still busy everywhere and are largely working at the same time or behind us. On the other hand, many other parties also depend on us, such as the painter."
A project finisher obviously has a lot of experience with the scheduling peaks of fixed completion dates. "In terms of delivery and supply, things are going well. There is an excellent foreman on this project and we have 14 men running on construction, but a small delay means a lot right away for several parties. At the same time, the completion date does not deviate; that is quite challenging for the 'trains' in execution."
A stadium also has many specific, different applications. Tilma: "The interior has traditional components such as metal stud walls and suspended ceilings. There are also original elements, such as sandwich panels as a finishing material in the toilet groups or the use of hemp as a circular insulation material. Several parties made additional contributions here. What is challenging here is not so much the technical aspect, but mainly planning aspects: when do you have to deploy how many men? Some parts of the project are commissioned by Van Wijnen, others directly by SC Cambuur. We are mainly working for Van Wijnen on the west stand; on the south side of the stadium other parties are active again. We as Plaveka are proud that we may contribute to the construction of SC Cambuur's stadium, the club we have a warm heart for and also support as a sponsor."
