Prefab fundering voor woonwijk Blom in Klaaswaal

On the outskirts of Klaaswaal, a new residential area is being built with 120 low-energy and zero-in-the-meter homes. From terraced houses to semi-detached and detached houses, with beautiful architecture and located in the green or on the waterfront. The homes will be built in four phases, with prefabricated foundation beams from Schokindustrie providing a solid foundation.

Since 1934, Schokindustrie has been manufacturing and selling precast concrete products such as precast foundation beams, footings, piles and storage floors. The company works closely with Vroom Betonbouw for the assembly of the products. In this way, all the care surrounding the realization of a good foundation is taken out of your hands and a complete foundation is created from one source.

1,000 meters per phase

Ook voor Blom werken Schokindustrie en Vroom Betonbouw actief samen. In opdracht van aannemer Gebrs. Hooghwerff produceren en monteren de bedrijven per fase circa 1.000 meter aan prefab funderingsbalken, vertelt Charlotte van Hellenberg Hubar – De Vreede, commercieel technisch adviseur bij Schokindustrie. “Eind 2023 zijn de eerste prefab funderingsbalken geleverd en net voor de bouwvak hebben wij fase 3 afgerond. Binnenkort komt er nog een vierde fase aan.”

Successful introduction

Blom is het eerste project waarin Gebrs. Hooghwerff de prefab funderingsbalken van Schokindustrie toepast, weet Van Hellenberg Hubar – De Vreede. “Wij zijn al in een vroeg stadium betrokken bij het afstemmen van de details voor de eerste fase, met een soepele uitvoering als resultaat. De communicatie tussen onze projectleider, de uitvoerder en de werkvoorbereider op de bouw verliep goed en prettig, wat tevens gold voor de logistiek en montage. Alle prefab funderingsbalken zijn just-in-time naar Klaaswaal vervoerd, waar ze in slechts twee dagen gemonteerd zijn. Hierdoor kon Gebrs. Hooghwerff snel door met de rest van de bouw. De aannemer was zo tevreden over deze aanpak, dat we ook de vervolgfases gegund hebben gekregen.”

High construction speed, excellent working conditions

“The big advantage of precast foundation beams is the high construction speed,” she emphasizes. “Also, precast foundation beams benefit working conditions.” Indeed, at Schokindustrie, precast foundation beams are always produced under constant working and climatic conditions. “To ensure that all beams fit perfectly, the positions for the recesses and provisions must be communicated in good time. Our engineers then check the structural advice, suggesting optimizations where necessary, for example with regard to pile positions and beam dimensions. All concrete elements are produced and delivered under KOMO and CSC certification.”
