Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
A proud father and daughter walked the construction site while preparing for the celebration of the highest point. Roos and Paul van der Valk are closely following the construction and are already busy with the interior design. After Hengelo, Zwolle and Enschede, this is Paul's 4th hotel built by Dura Vermeer.
Roos will soon be in charge of the hotel and can't wait to get started: "The cooperation with Dura Vermeer completes the team feeling. Because they have already built more hotels, we understand each other mutually. I can only be proud of what is there so far and can't wait to get started soon. This highest point is a special moment after such a long preparation."
The Deventer hotel will be a Van der Valk Exclusive hotel, a "four-star plus establishment. The building has ten floors and will have a swimming pool, wellness and fitness center on the ninth. There will also be a conference center with seven meeting and two conference rooms. The restaurant will have a place where chefs cook live. The banner on the hotel says it all; as of 2020, this will be a brand new van der Valk hotel that everyone will soon be able to 'go to'.
The building will be completely energy-neutral and gas will not be available at the new A1 business park. Heat and energy will come entirely from nearby windmills, from solar panels on the roof and heat/cold storage in the ground. ,,It takes some thinking how to do that: a hotel completely gasless," says owner Paul van der Valk. ,,but we think it's important to work energy-neutral. Because we like to work with established partners, we were able to find the right solutions in consultation with Dura Vermeer and Linthorst."
