Renovation of commercial properties: Energetically and aesthetically like new again

Renovation of business premises is essential to ensure the appearance, quality, durability and long-term value of the property. Hardeman | van Harten has been contributing to this for over 25 years with (sandwich) roof and wall cladding that can be supplied in a wide range of profiles and colors.

Many logistics halls, warehouses and workshops have sheet piling, which ages over time. Corrosion, leaks and a diminished corporate appearance lurk in such cases. “Most facade renovations are carried out to restore or improve the appearance of these business premises,” says project manager Jan Rijksen of Hardeman | van Harten. “A moment that - due to high energy costs as well as sustainability targets for 2030 - is increasingly being seized upon to also increase quality and sustainability. With our sandwich panels for facade as well as roof, we are fulfilling this perfectly and aesthetics and energetics can be improved integrally.”

Light, strong and excellent insulation

“At the base of our panels are two metal panels, between which is inserted an insulating core of usually polyisocyanurate (PIR) or rock wool,” Rijksen says. “This composition makes the sandwich panels light, strong and excellent insulating. Combined with a wide range of profiles and colors, clients kill several birds with one stone. For situations where the insulation value is already in order or does not play a role, we also offer an extensive range of single-walled (design) profiled panels.”

Involved from A to Z

To guarantee the right products for each project, Hardeman | van Harten always starts a project with a thorough inventory. For example, of the desired look and sustainability ambition, says Rijksen. “On site, we map out the existing situation, based on which we select and advise on possible solutions. We then also take care of the engineering, production and assembly, completely relieving customers of all their worries.”

Nice references

A great reference is the project for Van de Beeten in Oosterhout, where the sheet piling from Hardeman | van Harten greatly improved the appearance of an open warehouse. But also for various business premises, where the old sheet piling was replaced by aesthetic and energetic sandwich panels. In addition, Hardeman | van Harten is currently involved in the renovation of a factory building, where the outdated and poorly insulated roof is being replaced with insulated sandwich panels.
