For work in very hard-to-reach places, the small SSE 18 LTX BL Compact is the right choice. The versatile saw convinces with its compact design and carbon brushless motor. An even better sawing performance is provided by the SSE 18 LTX BL. With a stroke length of 32 mm and Brushless motor, it stands out for its power and endurance. "Both saws are very powerful and at the same time extremely light. This is ensured, among other things, by the brushless motor," explains product manager Leonard Sautter. "Because compared to models with brush motors, users with the new 18-volt models now work even faster and realize more cuts per battery charge," Sautter said.

Those saw really perfect

Comfortable sawing in places with little space - this is very easy with the SSE 18 LTX BL Compact. Regardless of whether it is cutting metal pipes or lumber, the saw stands out above all for its versatility: the practical model allows users to work in a controlled manner in any position, the machine is easy to use for different tasks and can also be operated with one hand. The SSE 18 LTX BL also stands for excellent ergonomics: the positioning of the soft grip handle at an angle allows the saw to be guided safely and comfortably in different working positions. Another plus: the lock function of the switch ensures pleasant work in continuous operation. In terms of power, too, the SSE 18 LTX BL provides striking performance in the truest sense of the word: "In heavy demolition work for removing old beams or quick cuts in wood, metal, pore concrete or plastic - the saw impresses with its power and endurance," says product manager Sautter. The motor housing of the SSE 18 LTX BL is made of wear-resistant cast aluminum that holds up well even under extreme loads on the construction site or in the workshop. In addition, the motor is protected from dust and splash water. "If you are cutting through the sewer pipe, for example, special sealing rings keep the moisture and dirt out," says Sautter.

Quickly changed, quickly cut

Changing the saw blade is easy, fast and tool-free with the Metabo-Quick system. The user can also rotate the saw blade 180°. Both new machines also convince with their tool-free adjustable depth stop with which the cutting depth can be precisely adjusted. This allows optimal use of the saw blades and simple quick plunge cuts. "For example, if the user is sawing a wall of plasterboard, behind which pipes lie, he can set the cutting depth precisely. This way, he does not damage the material," Sautter explains.

The improved ergonomics make it easier to work: thanks to the angled soft-grip handle, the SSE 18 LTX BL can be guided ge-easily and safely.

Sounds clear

Another plus: on the SSE 18 LTX BL Compact, the reciprocating saw blade can be replaced with a jigsaw blade. "That offers even more flexible application possibilities," Sautter explains. For different tasks, users can choose from a wide range of saw blades. With the new Metabo carbide reciprocating saw blades, for example, one can cut even the hardest materials in no time. For light in the darkness, an LED work light provides optimum illumination of the saw line. This allows you to work safely even in the dark.
