Solution-oriented, creative partner in aluminum window, door and curtain wall systems

An interview with Commercial Director Johan Andringa about the benefits of this way of working together. An approach that is apparently appreciated, as evidenced by the many fine projects Intal has recently "tackled.

Personal attention, constantly looking to connect, strong through transparency and continuous improvement: these are not empty phrases at Intal. "We are therefore increasingly selected as a partner in a project/tender at an early stage," says Andringa. "We always look for the specific need in order to provide as much added value as possible as a manufacturer of aluminum window, door and curtain wall systems. We are also very transparent in everything we do. That creates (mutual) trust and is also necessary to bring large projects with complex detailing to a successful conclusion."

Value of working together

One of the partners with whom Intal has had a great partnership for years is Bolton Construction and Development. Andringa: "Together we have realized, among other things, Le Perron and VenneStaete. Le Perron is the final piece of Woerden Centraal. The facade components of the apartment complex, including interior and exterior facade, window frames and facing bricks were delivered to the construction site completely prefabricated. Here we contributed our expertise regarding the 3D design of the aluminum window frames and curtain walls. Additional fire protection and acoustic requirements were also integrated into the concept. For the VenneStaete project, 63 apartments spread over three waterfront residential towers, we have now completed the first tower. The remaining two are still under development."

Optimal cooperation

Another party that Intal regularly brings to the table at an early stage is Heddes Bouw & Ontwikkeling. "Often even before the contract is awarded, mutual consultation takes place," Andringa outlines. "Together we then enter the tendering process to arrive at the best proposition. That led to the award of Westbeat in Amsterdam and the Yotel, also in Amsterdam. Both projects are characterized by fairly complex detailing with large spans, arched profiles, et cetera. You never achieve these results in a traditional collaboration. The same applies to the Ocean House in Rotterdam and Nieuweroord in Leiden, two projects we are realizing together with IBB Kondor, with great attention to the (historical) details. An optimal collaboration in which we assume each other's strengths leads to the best results."

A project of a very different order, but no less interesting, is the new distribution center for David Hart Group, a project of Bouwbedrijf Vrolijk. "We have enjoyed working for many years with the construction company, which specializes in logistics real estate. Here it is often not about the complexity of detailing, but the speed of construction and the enormous volume require yet another expertise. The openness of communication that we aspire to, means that we can put away a lot of volume in a short time like a well-oiled machine in a high-quality manner. And so, as a solution-oriented and creative facade partner, we always look forward to new projects and partnerships."
