This is what characterizes the wall and floor tiles from Maxus Ceramics. This conceptually composed label from Kerastone is of interest to many industries.
"With Maxus Ceramics, we focus on applications in education, healthcare, distribution centers, sports and swimming complexes and social housing," explains Kerastone director Gerrit van Gaalen. "These sectors are familiar with relatively high levels of tiling. Especially here, an optimal balance between aesthetics and budget is essential. And that is exactly what Maxus Ceramics stands for. At the same time, Maxus Ceramics does not fall short of the well-known A-brands in terms of quality."
The aesthetic character of Maxus Ceramics lies particularly in the modular properties of the wall and floor tiles. Van Gaalen: "We give the designer room to combine with sizes and colors to create figures, patterns and themes. Because say it yourself: what could be better for an architect than to combine with color and size, without immediately creating priceless creations that eventually disappear into the trash?"

Maxus Ceramics tiles are produced in Portugal. In the factory, sustainability plays an important role. The LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and the EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) certificate are inboard. Based on these methodologies, the factory reduces its ecological footprint to a minimum, following the "Cradle-to-Cradle" principle coveted by architects.
The factory focuses on the small sizes of wall tiles, ranging from 10×10 cm to 25×40 cm. "We offer all these sizes in almost a hundred colors of matte and gloss," says Van Gaalen. "That makes our offering unique. Especially when you consider that more and more European tile manufacturers are remediating small formats in this genre for profitability reasons."
Project-based Kerastone Maxus Ceramics also supplies tiles in principle in any color, with a delivery time of eight weeks. High-profile projects include WUR Wageningen and KNVB Zeist. Not to mention the nhow Amsterdam RAI Hotel. "A wonderful project with 17,000 square meters of tiling in 650 bathrooms and all related common areas," says Van Gaalen. "Projects like this drive us every day to keep raising the bar."
