Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
Project developers Timpaan from Hoofdddorp and UBA Projectontwikkeling from Uithoorn have won the public tender for the redevelopment of the approximately 5 hectares of sports fields in Hillegom-North. With the call for tenders, the municipality of Hillegom focused on affordable housing, especially for the Hillegom residents themselves. The plan consists of 136 homes in the social buy (with prices between approximately €100,000 and €225,000) and 148 homes in the free sector buy. Housing in the social rental sector will also be included in the plan.
The tender team consists of regional parties. Besides the developers Timpaan and UBA Projectontwikkeling, these are Faro architects from Lisserbroek for the urban design and architecture, Flux Landscape for the landscape design, AW Groep from Lisse for ground, road and hydraulic engineering, Interegion Groep from Rijpwetering for tender and process management, and UBA Bouw who will take care of the construction. After further development of the urban plan in consultation with the municipality of Hillegom and in participation with the neighborhood, the area development is expected to start in the first quarter of 2021.
