Moisture in the homes of Hollanderwijk posed a major problem. This is being solved by Royal Damstra Installatietechniek. With mechanical ventilation, a CO2 sensor and moisture-proofing interventions, the homes will have a healthy living environment again.
For the realization of the climate control system, Royal Damstra Installation Group works closely with the contractor. With a constant team of four professional installers, it tackles house by house. It equips bathrooms, kitchens and toilets with mechanical exhaust ventilation with humidity sensors. "As soon as the moisture levels in these rooms rise, the ventilation kicks in," explains Sjaak van de Witte, project manager at Damstra. "In the living rooms we install a CO2 meter with sensors and in the windows pressure-controlled grilles. These close automatically when the wind hits them."
Combined with the measures that the contractor is taking care of - it is excavating the floors in the living rooms, injecting the walls and providing them with a moisture-resistant coating - Van de Witte is confident that the homes will regain a healthy living environment. "Moisture and mold are no longer going to be encountered by the residents here," he says. In addition, Royal Damstra Installatietechniek is inspecting the electricity, meter box, smoke detectors and gas installation in all homes.
By now, two-thirds of the homes have been completed and the work is going like clockwork. Van de Witte is also pleased with the atmosphere. "Everyone knows what to do and has something to spare for each other. That's how you want to work together."
