'We steal the future'

No progress without innovation. That's the motto of Reijrink Staalconstructie, which has been designing, producing, delivering and assembling high-quality, robust and durable steel structures for 53 years. From functional stair railings to complex constructions that travel the world. "We help build industrial halls, distribution centers, compound feed mills, parking garages, offices, stores, cinemas and sports halls," says director Willem Reijrink. "Our strength? Continuous investment in technology, software, knowledge and people. We work smartly and efficiently, have knowledge of BIM, LEAN, BREEAM and Design & Build processes, can keep up with the tightest schedules and have recently acquired the most innovative steel plant in Europe."

The innovative steel plant is part of the Reijrink 4.0 strategy, with which the steel builder wants to stay ahead in the market and be a progressive, skilled and reliable partner for its customers. "By automating, we are also responding to the growing shortage of skilled workers," said Reijrink. "Our new, high-tech machine line required expansion of our existing plant. The new hall is laid out to handle and machine products up to a maximum length of 27 meters. All steel construction beams and welding plates are guided fully automatically along an approximately 600-meter-long roller conveyor, where they undergo all the necessary processing. For example, we can fully automatically blast, drill and mill, scribe, saw and cut. On Voortman's 'The Fabricator', we can also attach and weld the weld plates to the steel construction beams fully automatically. We also have our own paint shop for wet painting."

Reijrink Staalconstructie's own engineering department is responsible for designing, drawing and calculating the steel structures. "Our engineers and work planners actively use BIM and ConstruSteel ERP software, from which processes and production are controlled," says Reijrink. "This allows us to plan even more accurately and prevents communication noise. With our high-tech machinery, we can also produce even more accurately, faster and continuously. Our machine operators monitor the quality of process and products 24/7."

In addition to the design, production and preservation of steel, Reijrink Staalconstructie also provides just-in-time transportation to the construction site from its two branches in Esbeek and Someren. "Thanks to our large vehicle fleet and all required permits, we can transport all products," Reijrink emphasizes. "Exceptional transport is not an issue. On construction, our own cranes and aerial platforms provide efficient assembly, relieving clients from A to Z."
