Preserving and replacing ground floor with Compofloor
Preserving wood floors that are uninsulated and/or deteriorated provides an important step in making today's housing stock more sustainable.
By 2050, 7 million homes must be natural gas-free. In this housing stock are homes with poor or even rotten floors.
Despite the fact that, in energy performance calculations, floors are theoretically a minor contributor, insulating and replacing them is a must to meet goals, increase comfort and get rid of natural gas.
Compofloor has developed a Composite renovation floor for this purpose with the characteristic that it is lightweight and completely insensitive to moisture and drafts, with a high insulation value which is above the new construction standard.
The effect of an insulated floor:
Floors lose a lot of heat due to cold and often damp crawl space and foundation walls. This is especially noticeable in autumn and winter. An insulated floor limits heat loss, especially in combination with underfloor heating.
Why choose a Compofloor?
The unique suspension system makes the Compofloor applicable in all circumstances. Also in situations where the building walls are not flat. All elements are delivered prefabricated to size two days before installation so that the floor can be installed in one day. This keeps inconvenience for the residents to a minimum.
Assembly is done by our own teams, making the lines short, quality assured and personal advice every floor renovation possible.
Quality:
We are ISSO and FSC certified, the Compofloor complies with the building code and we are set up for the Quality Assurance Act.
