The intervention with by far the greatest impact for residents, is the replacement of the living room floor. For this, the old, damp floor including Agrex pellets is removed to make room for the complete Compofloor® renovation floor system. All parties are taking into account a wide variety of surprises. Nevertheless, the operation is going extremely well.
Compofloor® developed the renovation floor system about eight years ago. Because floors up to that point always went hand in hand with heavy concrete or steel elements, it started looking for lighter materials with comparable rigidity. "That led us to a composite, which meets all the requirements," says Earl Kemp, commercial director of Compofloor®. "We now prefabricate the composite elements in our own production facility. The elements are clicked together on the job, ensuring both moisture resistance and airtightness."
More strong qualities the Compofloor® renovation floor system exhibits during the installation process. Now that the user is only dependent on the building walls, the installation process runs smoothly and easily under all conditions. The innovative suspension system also makes the floor applicable to erratic foundations. "Thanks to this installation process, a lot of time is saved and inconvenience to the resident is kept to a minimum."
Sustainability also played a role in the development of the Compofloor® renovation flooring system. At the end of the usage period, the system can be easily disassembled, after which it can be used again on a subsequent project. "In Hollanderwijk, the installation process is running smoothly," says Kemp. "Contractor Lont not only uses the term chain partners, but also acts accordingly. In case of unexpected surprises, the foreman helps look for a solution and vice versa he also asks us to do something extra when problems arise. That makes for an excellent atmosphere at work."
