"Our starting point was the design of Binx Smartility, with the corresponding installation diagrams," says Commercial Technical Officer Tom Smit of PS Netherlands. "We translated those schematics into a customized distribution system, taking into account issues such as short-circuit resistance, ease of connection, a clear layout and the applicable standards. The distribution system complies with NEN1010 and NEN-EN-IEC-61439." Guus Imming, branch manager of PS Netherlands, adds, "Because Binx Smartility is design responsible because of the UAV-GC contract, it's more direct and faster switching."
On-site time savings
The distribution system consists of a sheet steel main distribution system with a 1,000 A power supply, type 2B, and seven sheet steel sub-distribution systems. The main distribution system is 2.5 m wide and 2 m high and is also equipped with home automation, by means of KNX components. The distribution system was delivered in sections and assembled and tested on site. Smit: "We always design and realize our distribution systems in close consultation with the client. As part of that, we always schedule a factory visit. In our workshop, our engineer and that of Binx Smartility coordinated a number of technical issues. Among other things, this led to a smart solution to simplify the connection of cables. That saved a lot of time on-site." Imming: "The cooperation with Binx Smartility was, as always, very pleasant. We look back on the project with complete satisfaction."
