Tilburg city store transforms with precast HSB elements

The project

Meanwhile, Tilburg is equipped with a new city hall, but with that comes a revamped city store! City Office 2, located on Koningsplein, will be transformed into Tilburg's City Store over the next 1.5 years.

The former library and partial municipal office will be completely transformed into the City Store. Residents can visit the ground floor for services, products information of the municipality of Tilburg. In addition, the remaining floors of the building will serve as offices for municipal staff.

Sustainable building

Tilburg sets high standards for its own buildings when it comes to sustainability. Tilburg's City Store will be a sustainable building. These ambitions will be achieved by using the latest techniques in terms of climate, sustainability and reuse. For example, solar panels will be installed on the roof and reused materials will be used in the interior.

Among other things, the façade will be clad with Accoya wood treated with vinegar, making it long-lasting and maintenance-free. In addition, there will be a garden on the terrace, which in turn is good for insulation and flora and fauna

HSB walls

But we hear you already thinking, what is WEBO's part in this transformation? WEBO delivers its circular HSB elements. First of all, it ensures considerable construction time reduction, after all, steps of traditional construction are skipped by the prefabricated element.
