As of May 1, Aboma will take over SGS' elevator inspection activities in the Netherlands. On April 2, Jeroen Lammertse, general manager of Aboma, and Danny Boden, Business Manager Industrial of SGS, signed the contract.
Aboma has been active in the elevator inspection market since 1999. It is part of Aboma's strategy to continuously promote safety in vertical transport. Aboma is taking over both the contract obligations and the employees. This brings Aboma's total elevator team to 15 elevator inspectors.
Danny Boden: "As a renowned specialist in the field of inspections in the vertical transport sector, the choice for Aboma was quickly made. The standards and values of SGS match those of Aboma best. We therefore confidently transfer our portfolio to Aboma."
Jeroen Lammertse: "With this expansion, Aboma achieves a position in the market that guarantees continuity and innovation. The acquisition gives Aboma sufficient volume to make the investments necessary for future developments and innovations in elevator inspection."
For nearly 60 years, Aboma has been a leader in equipment testing, inspection and valuation and in guidance on occupational health and safety policies in construction companies. Aboma is also active in certification of quality and safety systems.
