One supplier for a complete climate control system

Mark Climate Technology focuses on the climate control of large buildings in industry and utilities. Think of cooling, heating and ventilation in large office buildings and schools, for example. For example, the company was allowed to work on the Donker Curtius project in The Hague. 

The newly built school was looking for good climate control for the building. Bert Drenth, technical consultant at Mark Climate Technology, says, "Together with the client, we made the project a success." 

Selection tool

The client engaged with Mark Climate Technology. Drenth: "Our selection tool gives the installer the choice of an air handling unit with the desired air volume and the choice between a heat wheel or counterflow plate exchanger. In this way the client can design his own cabinet and know within 5 minutes what it will cost. But in this case, the customer contacted us about the height of the cabinets. After all, our standard cabinets did not fit in terms of dimensions."

Custom air handling units

The units were not allowed to be higher than two meters. "The air volume was 25,000 m3/h. That's pretty hefty. If that has to be in one air handling unit, you get a very tall unit. We came up with the solution of making two units with an air volume of 12,500 m3/h each. We put them next to each other and connected them to one control. So it then became one air handling unit after all."

Flexible

In addition to the height, the client wanted the cabinets in a specific color so that the school's corporate identity would stand out. "We do that too. Blue, pink or gray: it's all possible. We are flexible in every type of product we deliver from Veendam. And we also provide service throughout the Netherlands. Our five advisors drive around the country to advise installers and consultants free of charge and without obligation. That makes us unique."
