Save time and effort installing your WTW system

As homes become increasingly better insulated, attention to proper ventilation is also growing. "Especially in new-build homes today, natural ventilation is no longer an option because cracks and seams have been carefully sealed," knows Henry Kale, Key Account Manager at Panflex. "Instead of secively exhausting kitchens, bathrooms and toilets, sufficient fresh air must be blown in to counteract negative pressure in the home - and all the associated comfort and health complaints. A heat exchanger system is an excellent solution in this case, because health, comfort and energy efficiency go perfectly hand in hand. In order to connect these systems quickly and properly, we have developed a ready-to-use and very complete WTW package."

A WTW unit has four connection points. "Two thermally insulated hoses, which reduce heat and cold loss and prevent condensation, are required to draw fresh outside air to the WTW unit and exhaust used inside air outside," Kale said. "In addition, to supply conditioned air and extract polluted air ín the house, two acoustically insulated hoses must be connected, which overcome any noise pollution caused by the heat exchanger unit. The thermally and acoustically insulated ventilation hoses are a standard part of our WTW package. To reduce installation time and failure costs to a minimum, we chose 2 m long hoses that are already taped on one side. This allows the hoses to be connected directly to the WTW unit. The other side can be cut to size by the installers themselves and taped off with matching Alutape. They then connect the ventilation tubes very easily using eight included stainless steel hose clamps."

Installers only need one part number for the complete package, according to Kale. "Moreover, they can benefit from price advantages as well as save time and effort when installing the WTW package." For installers who need sec WTW silencers, Panflex also offers a wide range of flexible and ready-to-use WTW silencers of about 1 m with excellent thermal and acoustic properties.
