Platform on new construction, renovation, restoration and transformation
New Utrechts Peil, a consortium of Nieman Raadgevende Ingenieurs, ONB architects and consultants and Vios Bouw, is the winner of the 2019 Green Solutions Award for the Netherlands with the “Flat with Future”!
We received the international Special Mention in the Sustainable Renovation Grand Prize category!
A total of 37 countries participated in this competition with a total of 192 projects. Last Monday, November 4, 2019, we were able to receive this coveted award at the Batimat construction fair in Paris. There were 22 sustainable projects awarded.

The jury considers the Flat with a Future a perfect example of sustainable renovation in residential construction. By carrying out the renovation with respect for the original architecture and preservation of valuable structure in existing neighborhoods, it is hardly visible that this is a NOM renovation. The smart NOM building is equipped with solar cells for water heating and energy production. A real “Tour de force” in a region where the sun does not always shine.
The entire project team was in Paris to celebrate!
