Along the prestigious P.C. Hooftstraat in the heart of Amsterdam, project PCHooft7, led by the renowned Bouw- en Aannemingsbedrijf Kneppers, is making steady progress. This new construction project, combining retail, offices and housing, promises to be a real eye-catcher.
A crucial role in this project is played by facade builder J.M. van Delft & zn. of Drunen. With a proven track record in inner-city projects, the facade builder has once again demonstrated its versatility and craftsmanship. The order includes not only the supply of aluminum curtain walls, steel facades and decorative grilles, but also the assembly of these elements. In doing so, J.M. van Delft & zn. has once again managed to completely relieve its client of all its worries.
The aluminum portion of the façade has been completed and attention now shifts to the application of the flashing. Based on a design by ZZDP Architects, the flashing on the front will have a beautiful bronzed look. On the first floor of the building, assembly is progressing steadily. The steel frames of the entrance are fully glazed, so the entrance is already taking shape. With an impressive steel pivot door of no less than 4 meters, the entrance promises to be a true statement. The next step is to complete the assembly of the steel interior facades around the elevator core and stairwell, which is expected to be completed around the construction period.
