High-quality first aid and FAFS training for the construction industry
Walter Willigenburg (Wilgh) and Pieter Visser (Aboma) reinforce each other in providing training.

High-quality first aid and FAFS training for the construction industry

"Our cooperation goes back some four years," says Pieter Visser, General Manager of Advice at Aboma. "As a consultancy for safety, quality and health in construction, we were increasingly being asked to supervise projects over a long period of time. Our services were not designed for that. We therefore started looking for a stable partner that fits within our way of working. We found that partner in Wilgh, a
secondment agency for safety experts." Walter Willigenburg, founder of Wilgh, adds, "Our company cultures are close to each other. We both stand for a people-oriented no-nonsense approach from a high level of knowledge."

one plus one is three

Willigenburg continues: "In recent years we have gotten to know each other well. We see that we differ in the areas of consulting and secondment, but that we agree in offering training. In this we can strengthen each other." Visser: "Wilgh's first aid and BHV training courses are a nice addition to our training offerings for personal development. This is nice for our customers. With us, they have a one-stop shop in training and therefore no longer have to go to another training provider for first aid and/or FAFS training. Another advantage is the joining of forces of Wilgh and Aboma. This brings about a synergy, which in training delivers more than the sum of its parts. One plus one is three in this case."

Tailored to the construction industry

The first aid and FAFS training courses offered by Aboma are available at different levels. From basic to team leader and from regular to e-learning. The trainings are, each and every one, completely tailored to the construction industry. Willigenburg: "Our trainers went to different construction sites with Aboma to map out the risks. They connect to that with the scenarios in their trainings. Real customization, in other words." Visser emphasizes that this feeling with the industry is very important. He gives an example: "Suppose you have to resuscitate a victim with an AED while he is lying on the steel grid floor of a scaffold. What do you do then? These kinds of specific situations you don't easily come across in regular first aid or FAFS training, but are crucial to know." Aboma's first aid and BHV training courses meet the standards of NIBHV and the Oranje Kruis. The offer can be viewed on Aboma's website.
