Jonkman Coating, Hengelo | Energy-efficient technical installations for new Jonkman Coating building

Installer Lesscher Installatietechniek provides a total package for electrical, plumbing, heating, telecom and infra. "As a family business, we started small and local, but we have now grown into a company with more than a hundred employees, active within all disciplines of installation technology," says operational director Gerben Arends. "Our two branches in Saasveld and Hengevelde work very closely together to bring every project to a successful conclusion. To this end, we have a team of specialists who, thanks to internal and external training courses, continuously keep their knowledge up-to-date, broaden and deepen."

Lesscher Installatietechniek was commissioned to realize all building-related installations and (utility) systems for the coating process for the new Jonkman Coating building. Within the construction team, the total installer is responsible for the engineering and assembly of the electrical (10 kV), water, drainage, air conditioning, climate, lighting and security installations, among others. "This is a special project for us. For example, the heat released from the cooling process is upgraded by heat pumps and reused in the process. The office plant is also plugged into the production plant to use residual heat. All this provides significant energy savings," Gerben Arends explains. "Everything will be realized in close consultation with the construction team. It is an advantage for the people at Jonkman Coating that they can turn to one partner for the engineering, realization and maintenance of all installations. The project is proceeding in several phases, the first of which should be completed by the end of 2019."
