After previously building various showrooms for car giant Van Mossel, J.M. van Delft & zn. of Drunen was this time asked to build the new head office and logistics center. Right next to the A59 motorway, the 31,000 m2 new building has become a real eye-catcher.
Commissioned by main contractor Bouwbedrijf van de Ven, J.M. van Delft & zn. has been trusted to supply and assemble some 2,000 m2 of aluminum window frames and curtain walls for the new building. By choosing aluminum and various technologies within the facade industry, such as the TipTronic windows (electrically controlled windows by means of a home automation system), the building is completely in line with the times.
With a tight schedule, the cooperation started. "Partly thanks to good communication and coordination from the main contractor, we were able to follow the schedule perfectly and everything was delivered as agreed," says Albert Emmers, project manager at J.M. van Delft & zn. "We experienced the cooperation as very pleasant. Thanks to the communication and coordination of the main contractor, we were able to identify possible bottlenecks early on and tackle them together. It is one of the larger projects within our order portfolio, but we look back with pride at what we were able to put together here."
Surely the special feature of this design is the choice of the bicolor facade. This gives the outer shell a deep color intensity and with its golden color it forms a beautiful whole with the rest of the environment. Waalwijk has another showpiece!
