Daiwa House and Van den Pol Elektrotechniek are trusted partners. "We install many modular projects by Daiwa House, including large-scale student housing," says Sebas L'Ortye, project manager at Van den Pol. "Over the years, together we have already realized some 6,000 student housing units, at home and abroad. With current projects in Delft, Amsterdam and Tilburg, the tally continues to rise."
Van den Pol is also involved in utilitarian new construction by Daiwa House. "Different building systems are then regularly combined. Think of sports complexes where locker rooms are constructed from modules, while the Movix system is used for the gymnasiums. Recently, this construction method was also used at the NPEC laboratory on the campus of Utrecht University."
Movix was also chosen at Mammoet. "This combines precast floor and roof elements with steel columns, giving a building the desired height." The project allowed plenty of room for Van den Pol's input. "Using the project budget as a basis, we created and executed the complete installation design. In close consultation with Mammoet, a number of additional
wishes realized."
Van den Pol is responsible for the entire E-supply, data and fire alarm installation. "We also installed the lighting. This is equipped with motion detectors, a standard functionality for us, which means that lights are never left on unnecessarily," says L'Ortye. On the roof of the new building are 96 PV panels. "This is how energy savings and generation are combined in this project."
Not only from the outside is the Mammoth new building striking, right on the water with a connecting walkway. "Inside, the installations were mounted in plain sight. Then the ceiling was painted black. That creates a special look, but any subsequent adjustments can always be seen. That's why everything has to be flawless immediately."
