New Intal headquarters exemplify circular future

New Intal headquarters showcase circular future

In Schagen, Intal purchased a depreciated industrial building that is being transformed in a circular way into a new sustainable production site and headquarters. The company is also investing in people, products, automation and circularity to continue to grow.

intCIRCULAR COMPANY

Rudy Schipper, owner and director of Intal, said, "We believe in a circular economy and are going to make great strides to make our contribution to that. All the aluminum we use in our window, door and curtain wall systems is already largely produced from recycled aluminum, but we are going further than that."

Intal is developing business models to make the entire process from procurement to realization of projects circular. These include taking back products after use so that the materials can be recycled or reused that allows raw materials to retain their value.

Intal's ambition is to create a showcase in the areas of circularity, sustainability, LEAN working and in the area of corporate culture.

CIRCULAR REMODELING

The building in Schagen will be remodeled with circular materials into a modern sustainable building. Existing materials will be reused or recycled wherever possible.

Many sustainable solutions are also applied to minimize Intal's ecological footprint. These include solar panels on the roof, optimal insulation and sustainable heating.

In its day-to-day operations, sustainability is already a key focus for Intal. Intal is paper-free, optimizes its waste separation, has an energy-efficient lighting plan and is investing in an electric vehicle fleet.

FEEL CONNECTED

Intal employees are encouraged to participate in the transformation of the building in Schagen. As a result, everyone is involved in the project and awareness of sustainability and circularity is further increased. Creative entrepreneurship together, that too makes Intal a powerful company.

By September 2022, Intal plans to be fully operational in Schagen.
