Twintec Group - and therefore also Twintec Netherlands - has sustainability and the environment high on its corporate vision. Twintec is therefore keen to make its contribution to the "CO2 crisis" we are all facing, both in the Netherlands and abroad.
Twintec Netherlands, like the rest of the building industry in the Netherlands, is busy with various innovations in the field of the environment, CO2 and sustainability. Recently, a project was completed with the first Twintec® ECO ULTIMATE. That is, a hybrid floor with "green" reinforcement consisting of a mix of a traditional fiber with the unique Twincon® fiber.
Twincon® fiber is a recycled fiber made from end-of-life automobile tires. Developed by the Twintec Group, these steel fibers are the epitome of recycling. With this step, compared to a traditional industrial concrete floor, a CO2 reduction of around 40% is achieved. Twincon® fibers are certainly not inferior to traditional fibers in terms of durability and strength. And as a 'blend', i.e. the combination of a traditional Twintec fiber and the reused Twincon® fiber, the floor performs even better. It therefore results in a 'green' industrial concrete floor with the accompanying Twintec quality based on the Design - Build - Guarantee principle.
It doesn't stop here at Twintec. With the ECOCALC program, savings are also made transparent, even before implementation starts. Furthermore, Twintec Netherlands will soon be welcoming the electric laserscreed into its machine park, also an in-house development by Twintec Group. This machine contributes to further CO2 reduction. And by then also taking advantage of other possibilities, such as recycled concrete and/or water-based curing, an even greater sustainability effort can be made. That promises something for the future and for eco-friendly industrial floors. Twintec Netherlands goes green.
