Trivire and Team ERAflats sign cooperation agreement on major maintenance

The 392 homes of the three ERAflats at P.J. Oudplein and Gerbrandyplein in Zwijndrecht will soon receive a sustainable upgrade. Major maintenance is being carried out on the buildings and in all the homes. Housing corporation Trivire and Team ERAflats, consisting of Smits Vastgoedzorg and TBI company ERA Contour, signed the cooperation agreement for the work on Thursday, February 14. 

"By using the knowledge, professionalism and experience of the consortium of Smits Vastgoedzorg and ERA Contour, we brought out the best in each other.

With that, the interests of our clients are extra well served. And we are happy to do it for that!" said Tinka van Rood, director of Trivire.

Hans van der Krogt adds on behalf of Team ERAflats: "we find it very nice that we are also able to give these ERAflats a sustainable upgrade, making the homes completely ready for the future again.

After the major maintenance, the residents can enjoy years again in their renovated homes, and in the end that's what we do it for."

A modern new look and greater living comfort
All three apartments will have renovated, more transparent entrances. The plinths of the buildings will also be addressed. Together with new gallery railings on the second floor, these changes will provide a fresh and modern look for the entire buildings. This was also the starting point for the design, created by A3 Architects. But, the maintenance combination will not only change the appearance of the buildings, explains Jurgen Weerdenburg on behalf of Team ERAflats: "we are also improving the insulation, which will result in significant energy savings, and that will provide more living comfort for residents. In the homes we are also renovating the kitchen, bathroom and toilet, depending on the current condition. We also make various installations individually controllable and increase security by installing new features such as a videophone." Work will begin in March 2019 and is expected to be completed by mid-2020.

More than 1,000 ERAflat homes under maintenance at the same time
The signatures on the cooperation agreement mark another special fact for Team ERAflats: the combination of Smits Vastgoedzorg and ERA Contour is carrying out major maintenance on more than 1,000 ERAflat homes at the same time. For the builder and namesake of the striking apartments, which have been found throughout the Randstad since the 1960s and 1970s, this is an extra festive moment.
