Commissioned by Kuijpers Bouw, Van Beek Tegelprojecten from Barneveld was recently allowed to complete a challenging job for the new showroom of Volvo Henk Scholten in Nijmegen. This extensive project involved tiling a floor area of over 2,300 m2, of which 1,200 m2 was showroom and 1,100 m2 workshop. In addition to this floor, 300 m2 of wall tiles were also installed. The result is impressive!
"Working closely with sister company KeraStone made it a streamlined process for the client," said Daryl Otten, co-owner of Van Beek Tile Projects. KeraStone has been working closely with Volvo Netherlands since 2015. In cooperation with them, a custom made tile was created under their own label Maxus Ceramics. It fully meets all technical requirements and fits seamlessly with the design vision of the VRE (Volvo Retail Experience) concept that Volvo has developed for its showrooms.
Van Beek Tegelprojecten has already supplied several other Volvo branches of Henk Scholten with tiles. "Because of our total approach, we were able to take the entire tiling process out of Kuipers Bouw's hands. We arrange everything: from purchasing and logistics to tile processing and after-sales. We also see that customer orientation at Volvo Henk Scholten, and that same vision makes for a pleasant cooperation," Otten said.
The result is a super sleek showroom floor with a luxurious appearance. An additional advantage is that the floor can withstand high loads, which means that it retains its appearance over the years and is easy to keep clean. This is an important requirement for both the showroom and the workshop.
