The IKOB Incentive Fund can financially support one promising project in the construction industry and built environment each year. Eligible are initiatives and stakeholders in the field of quality, sustainability, safety, energy performance, recycling and (technical) innovations. This can take the form of a research or implementation project. "Preferably these are projects that also lead to knowledge products such as new (normative) guidelines, a training program or widely applicable applications," says Wim Reedijk, IKOB foundation chairman.
"We are also going to use our equity in other ways to promote progress in the industry. For this we have created the IKOBStimulation Fund," Reedijk continued. "Every year we support a project that contributes to quality, sustainability or safety in the field. With this we challenge everyone to contribute to knowledge development and innovation."
The application can be made by the legal or natural person. The financial contribution is one-time and does not exceed 50,000 euros.
1. What financial contribution can be requested and what conditions apply?
- The financial contribution is one-time and does not exceed 50,000 euros;
- The project is always a co-financing between IKOB Foundation and the initiators and/or stakeholders;
- For research projects, the financial contribution from the IKOB Incentive Fund is a maximum of 50% of the total project cost;
- For implementation projects (prototyping, pilot projects, etc.), the IKOB Incentive Fund financially supports up to 25% of the total project cost;
- A maximum of 50% of the financial contribution may be used to cover the hourly commitment of project partners;
- When the contribution is awarded, an agreement is concluded. This includes how the recipient will spend the amount of money;
- The recipient will receive a financial contribution. There is no other guidance from the IKOB Foundation.
- It is an innovative project related to the construction industry or built environment;
- The project leads to a social contribution in terms of quality, sustainability, safety, energy performance, recycling and (technical) innovations;
- The preference is for a project that (also) leads to knowledge products. For example (normative) guidelines, a training program or applications that can be widely used;
- Preferably, the project has a lead time of up to 1 year.
- Entries can be made annually from Sept. 1 to Dec. 1 via the pitch form;
- The application may be made by a legal or natural person;
- Parties may be invited to apply. You may also apply for a pitch on your own initiative;
- The IKOB Foundation will only consider fully completed applications and would like to receive the application form, project plan, budget including funding and the completed co-financing statement.
- The board of the IKOB foundation reviews the applications based on the principles of the fund. So what does this project contribute to quality, sustainability, safety, energy performance, recycling and (technical) innovations within the construction industry and built environment?
- The applications are weighted against each other to determine which project has the most lasting social impact;
- Is a board member directly involved in the sector for which an application has been submitted? Then this board member does not have a casting vote in the evaluation of the project.
