Inspiring partner for kitchens, plumbing and tiles
DHOMUS is an inspiring partner for real estate developers, investors, contractors and residents when it comes to kitchens, plumbing and tiles. "With a combination of more than 100 years of experience, we offer a unique blend of knowledge, expertise, inspiration and service for the mid- to high-end market," says managing director Duncan Moser. "We work with our own labels (Huysinc, Asto and Leicht Amsterdam) and with renowned brands known for their quality, innovation and style. Customer satisfaction is our top priority! From the first appointment in one of our showrooms to delivery, service and warranty; we take care of every detail. Together we make it special!"
DHOMUS is a much sought-after partner in new construction projects. "A characteristic of these projects is that property developers and contractors want to offer their residents an optimal customer journey without having to worry about it themselves," Moser said. "We like to capitalize on this, allowing residents to pick the kitchens, plumbing and tiles of their desire. In our showrooms in Waardenburg, Rotterdam and Amsterdam, residents can admire kitchens, plumbing and tiles in all styles, colors and budgets." Whereas private residents can walk in freely, the customer journey of residents of new construction projects often begins with a general buyers' evening, in which the process with one of the DHOMUS labels is also explained. "Following this buyers' evening, residents can already create a mood board on our website to discover their style and preferences. They can then schedule an appointment with our advisors, to tour the showroom and select the kitchens, plumbing and tiles of their taste."
"When clients come in to us from a project, we already have the house plan in front of us," Moser says. "We know exactly what square footage is available and how the rooms are laid out. This allows us to provide even better advice." At the table with the customer, a design for the kitchen is often created first. "This also reveals any structural changes, which we pass on to the contractor after approval. As a result, this contractor no longer needs to sit down with each resident to discuss any adjustments. In a 3D simulation, residents can already virtually walk through their new kitchen, giving them an even better feel for the design." To take a breather, residents are welcome to have lunch in their own cooking studio. "Then they can pick out their plumbing in the afternoon hours. An efficient process for both clients and contractors."
Once approved, the drawings are worked out in such a way that the in-house fitters and installation parties can easily carry out their work. "Because the period between the time of ordering and the actual assembly takes several months to a year and a half, we keep residents informed of progress at relevant times," Moser says. "For example, we ask two months before the final order if any adjustments are desired and schedule deliveries in a timely manner." Whereas the bathroom and toilet are assembled before delivery, the kitchen is usually scheduled after that. DHOMUS is currently working hard to optimize the customer journey even further. For example, with new service concepts and opportunities to provide insight into the sustainable impact of certain choices.
The history of DHOMUS goes back to April 2022, when the Van Wanrooij Warenhuys (in Waardenburg) is acquired from Van Wanrooij Bouw & Ontwikkeling by investment company Waterland Private Equity. "Shortly thereafter, Asto and Leicht Amsterdam will additionally be acquired, with showrooms in Rotterdam and Amsterdam," Moser says. "Subsequently, a rebranding of Van Wanrooij Warenhuys to Huysinc takes place. In addition, an umbrella name is being devised to further shape the 'business to business' proposition of the three labels." In this regard, the name DHOMUS was chosen with care and combines the umbrella function (dome) with the main target market (domus/home). "In the future, we want to further expand the number of labels and our geographical spread. As a result, we will soon always be close by and be able to serve clients and residents even faster and better. The first great steps towards this have already been taken."
