'We open opportunities'

Anno 2020, the 8th generation is at the helm of the company, in which development is an important pillar. "We are busy with the new CE mark," Den Haan said. "In addition, we have taken our Choice+ buyer's choice program for housing projects to the next level. This allows residents to select their style doors, window frames and door hardware online and takes a lot of work off the hands of contractors." Recently, Krepel Deuren's product line was expanded to include fully painted black line doors. "We have also significantly modernized our factory in Klarenbeek in recent years. This allows us to produce even more efficiently, faster and fully automatically, without compromising on quality."

Because Krepel Deuren has the entire process in its own hands, it can move quickly. This is greatly appreciated by customers, says Den Haan. For example, during the work on KPN campus Maanplein in The Hague, where six office buildings have been transformed into high-quality residential buildings. "For this project, we supplied all the interior doors with frames, including the doors for the common areas, interior entrance doors, locking plans and the hardware." In addition to residential construction, Krepel Deuren carries out various utility projects where complex laws and regulations apply. Think, for example, of requirements in the areas of burglar, fire, smoke and noise resistance and combinations thereof, explains calculator, work planner and marketer Sanne van den Boogert.

"In utility projects, multiple functions often need to be integrated into a single door. This requires knowledge and experience, which we are happy to support contractors with. For example, by providing the complete interior door project." As an example, she mentions the new construction of Voiceworks in Almere, for which Krepel Deuren delivered and assembled a combination of around 100 standard, fire-resistant and sound-insulating HPL doors, including frames and hardware. "The client visited our showroom to discuss all door functionalities and to fine-tune the logistics. This translated into a smooth execution as well as a high-quality final result."

In utility projects, interior doors are usually 3D measured as soon as the contractor has installed the frames. "Based on this data, the doors are contour planed," said Van den Boogert. "The hinges and locks are already assembled in the factory, after which the doors are delivered to the project ready-made. This minimizes assembly time and prevents dust on the construction site. Installing the interior doors shortly before delivery also minimizes damage."
