Tin-steel walls with mortar finish

Re-buildit produced special precast walls for the Maranatha Church project. These patented tin-steel walls are not finished with plaster, but with a 3-inch thick, hard, smooth finish layer of a circular mortar.

The walls are delivered including water points and outlets. Johan Douwens, one of the initiators of the Re-buildit Group: "This was the first project where these walls were built. The advantage is that the walls do not have to be treated afterwards, as with finishing with plaster. In addition, the walls 90% are stronger than the usual wood frame and steel construction walls. For example, you can hang kitchen cabinets from them without making additional provisions." The walls are insulated, and because electrical outlets are molded solid, 20% there is more soundproofing and they are airtight.

In the Environmental Database

Another important advantage, is durability. The walls are produced waste-free and last much longer than traditional walls. Douwes: "Meanwhile, our circular building panels have been included in the Environmental Database with a very good score. Incidentally, the same applies to our steel frame floors."

Re-buildit produces the walls itself: now at a temporary production site, but soon in a new factory of some 18,000 m2. Because the drying time is a maximum of two hours, up to five million semi-finished products could soon roll off the assembly line here each year. The installation of the walls is easily done by the contractor himself. "We like to think along with the contractor in the process. As with wood frame construction, the detailing has to be right. That's why we have the drawing work and structural calculations done by a party we work with a lot."
