Van Beek Tegelprojecten made a valuable contribution to the complete renovation of hotel De Werelt in Lunteren. The specialist in the better tile work provided forty hotel rooms, the sanitary areas and the new wellness area with attractive wall and floor tiles.
"The wellness area is among the hotel's showpieces," says Daryl Otten, project manager at Van Beek Tile Projects. "It includes a swimming pool and sauna. Partly because of the warm, luxurious look of the tiling, this space is reminiscent of former bathhouses." Hotel de Werelt also features 125 luxurious hotel rooms, 15 function rooms and its own restaurant.
On this project, Van Beek Tegelprojecten worked closely with sister company KeraStone, supplier and expert in the field of ceramics and natural stone. Otten explains, "In close consultation with the client, we mapped out the desired look and result. On this basis, we advised on the choice of material and the way of processing. Warm, natural materials were chosen throughout the complex."
In the sauna of the wellness area, Van Beek Tegelprojecten applied mosaic tiles. To ensure the watertightness of the mosaic, it was fixed with two-component adhesive. "A challenging job," Otten looks back. "Exactly the kind of jobs we like to tackle. We stand for a high-quality total approach and thorough work preparation. Moreover, we work with certified personnel who have experience with complex projects."
"The size of the project combined with the tight deadline was also a concern," Otten continues. "In that respect, our affiliation with KeraStone offers advantages. As sister companies, we work closely together. The lines are short and we can switch between us incredibly quickly. Partly due to this good teamwork, the realization went smoothly and fluently. You can see that in the end result, which contributes wonderfully to the overall appearance of the hotel."
