Jan Snel has opened an Experience Center in Montfoort. In this showroom, visitors can take a close look at several model homes of the modular builder. In addition, they will get more insight into the total industrialized building process and its possibilities.
In the coming years, an awful lot of housing must be added to counter the housing shortage in the Netherlands. Together with Daiwa House, Japanese market leader in modular construction, global knowledge, manpower and solutions are being combined. At the same time, the range of smart housing solutions on both the Dutch and European markets will be further expanded. In modular, or industrialized, construction, the components of a building are produced in advance in the factory. These parts are then transported to the construction site virtually finished and final assembly takes place on the building site. This process saves significantly in time, error rates and vehicle movements.
"Modular construction is an appropriate solution to the housing shortage, and at the Experience Center, all of our model homes can be visited and viewed," explains Harry van Zandwijk. "Housing corporations, property developers, municipalities and others involved in the construction industry can actually enter the homes. This is because the lifelike model homes are fully furnished. Visitors can see at a glance all possible housing solutions in one location. They also experience how we work and discover which high-quality materials we (re)use every day." On display in the Experience Center are a ground-level home, an apartment and student room, among others.
The Jan Snel Experience Center has been opened at Willeskop 94 in Montfoort. Appointments to visit the center can be made through the following entry form.
