Residential tower The Burton in Little C in Rotterdam has been completed. Last week, 73 residents moved into this residential tower that is part of one of fifteen units in Little C. Two and a half years after construction began in June 2018, the time has finally come. In the imposing residential building designed by CULD architects according to a New York architectural style, the lights are finally going on. And life is being breathed into the lofts of The Burton. TBI companies J.P. van Eesteren and ERA Contour developed and built Little C and are proud of this milestone of the new-build project located in the heart of Rotterdam. It is an area where living, working and relaxing, come together.
Institutional real estate investor Bouwinvest is excited about the completion of the 209 industrial lofts at The Burton. Last week they handed over the keys to the tenants. And how pleased these were with their apartment that until then they had only seen online via photos and videos. Because of the pandemic and corona measures, there were no on-site viewing moments last year and that made the handover now special. Tenants were able to walk through their homes themselves, see the layout and feel the equipment. The rental of The Burton is handled by van 't Hof Rijnland Vastgoedmanagement and Ooms Makelaardij in Rotterdam.
Little C on Rotterdam's Coolhaven is inspired by both the architecture in New York and the brick architecture of the nearby old buildings on the Veerhaven. This is especially evident in the sturdy brick facades, large black windows, expressive steel railings and walkways that connect the buildings. Little C's 15 buildings will house a total of 320 lofts and apartments, including 209 rental and 111 owner-occupied apartments. The area will also soon have 10,000 m2 of space for workplaces and small-scale hospitality. And meanwhile, Family House Daniel den Hoed has also moved into Little C. In addition to the eye-catching craftsmanship visible through the special brickwork and steel staircases and fencing, there is no shortage of greenery in Little C. The green squares, overgrown facades, roof terraces and the adjacent Coolhaven Park complete this living and working area.
The construction team is putting the finishing touches on the new construction project in the coming months. In March 2021, The Clark and The Hammond residential towers will be delivered to tenants. By late spring, all 15 buildings and outdoor space are expected to be completed.
