A house installation refers to the electrical system in a home. It is the set of group boxes, pipes, wiring, outlets and light points. A house installation provides the supply and removal of electrical current for electrical appliances. The supply wire is also called the "phase" and the drain wire the "neutral. The third wire in the connection is the ground wire. The connection is finished in the group box. A group is a power circuit in which each circuit is protected by fuses.
Groups and center boxes
After the distribution box, all the groups are distributed throughout the house.
New installations are delivered with an earth leakage switch on each group and often an earth. The center box system is a commonly used method of connection. Each room has a center box that serves as the main connection for a room or space. Through plastic tubes the wiring runs to switches, connections of light and wall outlets. The color of the wiring used indicates the type of connection. An outlet is connected to brown (phase), blue (neutral), and earth (yellow-green). A switch should be connected to brown and black; a connection for light to blue and black.
Power power
Power current is the name for a 3-phase connection. Power current or three-phase power is used for heavy loads and powerful motors. For power connections, thicker wires are often used. Thick wires have less resistance and can better dissipate the heat associated with high electrical currents.
