IBS Afbouw is a specialized finishing company based in Winkel that focuses on the preservation and modernization of buildings with exterior wall insulation. The company, led by owner Marc Veenstra, originally began as a grouting and facade renovation company and grew into a specialist in complete facade systems by 2021. More than a decade ago, the company saw the rise of energy transition and responded early by focusing on insulation solutions for existing and new buildings.

IBS Afbouw provides the complete exterior shell of buildings. This involves applying insulation materials such as EPS, followed by a mortar fabric layer and various finishes such as decorative plaster or stone strips. By working with high-quality materials and clear agreements, the company delivers durable facades that are both aesthetically and technically strong.

Sustainability plays a major role within IBS Afbouw. The company works with energy-efficient insulation systems and uses, among other things, mineral facade strips from Sto Isoned. These strips are lightweight, CO₂-neutral in production and offer great design freedom in color, shape and texture. In addition, they are water- and dirt-repellent and have a long lifespan. We also work sustainably within our operations, for example through electric transport and the careful separation of waste.
