Building better, faster and lighter

At Leebo Intelligent Building Systems, prefab and high-end come together. Nieuwenhuis has been managing director of Leebo Intelligent Building Systems since March 2021. Under his watch, the company has started a cautious growth. Work preparation, engineering and production have all expanded, allowing Leebo to serve both small and large projects even better. "Our order book is well filled," Nieuwenhuis emphasizes. "We recently completed the new construction of the Libertas residential tower in Groningen and the new 112 emergency room in Apeldoorn. We are currently busy with the realization of the multifunctional building Crossover on Amsterdam's Zuidas. And so there are several more beautiful projects in the pipeline, in which our precast facades are being resolutely chosen."

Maximum control

"By building prefabricated, we have maximum control over both quality and construction process," emphasizes Nieuwenhuis. "We build under the best climate and working conditions. Moreover, we have all materials and equipment at hand, which also allows us to work more efficiently and faster. The construction site is minimally burdened and the combination of prefab and light construction also reduces CO₂-emissions reduced significantly. Before our products are shipped to construction, they undergo a careful exit inspection."

From the inside out

Leebo Intelligent Building Systems supplies complete facades, including cavity leaf and aesthetic construction. "Because we work from the inside out, contractors can start interior construction at a very early stage," said Nieuwenhuis. "All our cavity trays are based on cold-rolled steel sections, which guarantees minimum weight and maximum rigidity and dimensional stability. As a result, any facade finish is possible. From ceramic to wood, aluminum composite, corten steel and glass. Moreover, the lightweight system provides opportunities to top buildings with one or more floors, creating even more usable area per square meter of floor space."
