The demand for good skilled workers in the construction industry is high. Projects are delayed due to a shortage of specialists. A specialized team

What makes working with Flexbuilders special is the precise approach. The internal team consists of ten employees, all of whom have an affinity for construction and a background in the staffing industry. As a result, the lines of communication are good and short. “We work with two sales staff, four recruiters and specialized staff for housing, transportation and tools, administration and finance,” Van Dijk says. “In addition, we have an experienced project coordinator, who starts up with us on an employee's first working day. He also regularly visits all project sites to monitor progress. Is all the work going according to plan? And are tools still needed, for example? Is the personal protective equipment being worn? And are both employee and customer satisfied?”

Quality of work and skilled workers

Projects that perfectly illustrate Flexbouwers“ craftsmanship include the Dreeftoren in Amsterdam, the new Police Unity Office in The Hague and the transformation of the former V&D department store in Maastricht. In short: how we can keep quality high. The same applies to our other areas of expertise."

Well regulated

Van Dijk emphasizes that quality always comes first. “We screen thoroughly, ask the right questions and check references. In addition, all our skilled workers have the necessary certifications, such as VCA, GPI or scaffolding and aerial platform certificates. We arrange good and SNF-certified accommodation close to the work site, personal protective equipment and professional battery-powered tools. But also all administrative matters. We take care of all peripheral matters so that our skilled workers can start work immediately and with confidence. That too is being a good employer, in our opinion. The safety of our skilled workers is ultimately the most important thing.”

Strict rules, tight organization and no risks

The construction industry has strict rules around staffing and hiring, Van Dijk knows. “From certifications to payroll administration: everything must be legally watertight. A good development, but unfortunately we still too often see cheating in this. This is not only to the detriment of the temporary workers, but can also have financial consequences for the companies that hire them.” Flexbuilders therefore takes a different approach. “As an organization, we want to be the best boy in the class. That is why we are affiliated with trade association NBBU and certified for payroll (SNA) and accommodation (SNF). We also meet VCU safety standards, which means clients can be confident that everything is right from A to Z. Whether it's certification, WKA statements, invoicing with a G account or entries in systems such as Construction Pass, Projectbox and Construction Site Check-in: we make sure it's taken care of.” That administrative certainty makes Flexbouwers a reliable partner in a constantly changing industry. “Laws and regulations are always changing,” Van Dijk emphasizes. “Think of the DBA Act and the upcoming Wtta. It is therefore becoming increasingly important to have your affairs in really good order. Both for the continuity of our company and for our clients. We are committed to this every day.”
