Following the delivery of the CLT for the De Nieuwe Meent residential project in Amsterdam, Keistad Totaal Projecten of Amersfoort began a major finishing project. “Contractor Zenitbouw approached us because of our expertise in comprehensive finishing,” says director Sten Korevaar. “In this project, we were responsible for both the installation and finishing of the interior walls, as well as the installation of doors and window frames, and later also the tiling of the bathrooms.”

The project’s unique structure—a housing cooperative initiated by the future residents—created a special dynamic. “The atmosphere on the construction site was incredibly friendly,” says Korevaar. “Despite the delays, the residents remained engaged, and the interaction was relaxed.” For example, residents had a say in the colors and materials. “We provided samples, and they made their choices based on those. That resulted in a varied look: whereas social housing is often uniform, the bathrooms in this residential tower are unique on every floor.”
