All installations from a single source

Within the new construction of Axalta, Van Dalen Installatietechniek is providing the complete technical installation. The total installer operating from Twello and Nijkerk expects to successfully complete the work around March next year.

Van Dalen is providing Axalta's premises with all electrical and mechanical installations. In addition, the company is signing for the communication and security facilities and will connect all process-related installations at a later stage. A mixed package of disciplines that confirms the expertise present. "As part of Batenburg Techniek, we have everything on board to serve the customer optimally," says Albert Mouw, as head of calculation responsible for the preliminary process. "From design and construction to service, management and maintenance. And in all construction phases, with the advantage of a single point of contact for both E and W. In addition, the entire design is done in 3D, so there are no clashes on site. That works pleasantly, efficiently and contributes to significantly faster execution."

All-electric

Where the property was originally going to have a hefty gas connection, all-electric was opted out because of nitrogen issues. Now that that conversion is worked out, they can get to work. "From the cut placed by the utility company, we do everything ourselves," Mouw said. "Through sister company Batenburg Energietechniek, we supply the transformer and the busbar sleeve, which feeds through the building from the transformer under the parking lot. Also in the building, the main track is equipped with busbar trunking." Another feat concerns air treatment. "Since Axalta works with paints, optimum safety is of great importance. This is why the rooms in question have guaranteed 10-fold ventilation before the electricity is released."
