Etepro is performing various work on PLUS's new distribution center in Deventer. From supplying cable trays and cable support systems to installing busbar trunking systems.
Ferry van Herwijnen is commercial director of Etepro, which started sixteen years ago as an electrical wholesaler. This branch has since grown into a specialist in busbar trunking systems, PV solutions, cable management, charging poles and charging solutions, among other things. In addition, from the Trayco business unit, the company supplies Belgian-made cable support systems: from cable trays and wire trays to ladder tracks. "All the products that we supply, we can also assemble on behalf of the installer," says Trayco.
For this project in Deventer, Etepro is supplying the cable trays and cable support systems to accompany the power supplies for the electrical equipment. Van Herwijnen: "We are also taking on the installation of the busbar trunking systems. These busbars transport the power, in this case, to the heat pumps and cooling units. This solution is necessary because there is a limit to the thickness of the cables when a lot of power is needed. It also limits power loss. Furthermore, we supplied the 500 amp junction boxes here, a nice connection in terms of electrical engineering."
Etepro has 25 employees and also works with a flexible shell of about 20 people. The company regularly works in distribution centers. "What makes this project special is the number of meters. This distribution center covers some 77,000 m2. We often pull together with Van Hees Elektrotechniek on jobs like this. They let us think and engineer at an early stage. It is pleasant to take on such a project in a construction team and in mutual trust. The best partnerships grow out of this; in this case with project leaders John van Eck and Hilco Hondijk and chief mechanic Kees van Noije of Van Hees."
